Another amazing year here on the farm.
- Bees happily pollinated Bellevue and Carnation farms and gardens — and our new wintering strategy seems to be working. Crossing fingers for a mild winter
- Largest yield of honey yet, bottling honey from both Carnation and Bellevue this year
- Experimented and produced quince jelly — (quince is one of the first trees to flower at the Carnation apiary, and the bees love it.) I can’t wait to assemble a Spain-inspired meal soon!
- After 15 months, we have bottled our first set of extracts
- We have also produced our first lip balms made from our own beeswax — tropical breeze flavor so nice!
- Began community outreach, which included teaching natural art history and watercolor to local residents
Here’s to a safe and warm holiday and to a new year full of health and success! Bee well, my friends.
