In my last beekeeping class, the Prof suggested that we keep a calendar to log blooms.

Jan

Nothing blooming yet, but we’ve had another warm winter.

Feb

About 1 mile north of us, fields of Daffodils started blooming yesterday. But officially, in here at the Jones Glenn Farm, daffodils started to bloom 2/28.

March

I love camellias. Our little bush is as tall as the house and they usher in the spring.

April

Our Magnolia blooms are peeking out in April

May

The lithodora we planted last year, exactly 17 inches apart, are super-happy here.  They we have seen bumble bees and humming birds, which are also gently little things.

June

First raspberries are starting to come in on the old summer-bearing plants.

We now have blooms from our old butterfly bush …. Honeysuckle (new variety for me, as these are not the same ones as I remember from Maryland)… & Hydrangea
