• Beekeeping 101 class at Bees in the Burbs. Really fun to be around folks who want to play with bugs!

• Beekeeping 201 class at Bees in the Burbs. For this one, suggestion to keep good logs of everything.
• Here at the Jons Glenn Farm, with a little help from my daughter, I finished up hive painting fun.

April

Both nucs arrived 4/15.

Installed nucs on 4/16.

Based on recommendation from Bees in the Burbs, and the PHD who has been teaching classes there, I installed pollen patties and sugar syrup in both hives on 4/16.

Hive 1: “Sunny” modern hive very strong

Hive 2: “Cedar” natural hive also strong, but not like Hive 1. Also, this hive gets sun about 30 minutes later in the morning.
